Hello,
Iíve a question concerning the ISO 20K certification for small business (around 100 hundred employee, in finance)

This sounds like a good investment looking towards our clients, but I really have no idea about the feasibility of it in the context of a small company. Is it feasible? How could It cost ( on a very very rough estimation, just to get the magnitude Iím not looking for the exact price)

Is anyone passed trough a similar experience here?

The size of the organisation does not really matter - it may make things easier. The Audit costs obviously, but the real money is spent on process improvement and documentation. How much you need to spend depends entirely on how well organised and documented you are now! If you think your processes are fairly mature, and that you have the documents and records to prove that they are being followed, then tha could be quite cheap. Best to do a gap analysis first. Also, if you already have other ISO certifications (9000, 27001 etc.) you will have a head start.

Hi,

as Liz states do a gap analysis first. Do you require ISO certification from your customers or will it help you in gaining customers if you have it.

Also, note the following 2 options.

1) You can be certified ISO compliant
2) You can be independantly assesed against ISO and deemed compliant without having to go through the full certification process. You don't get certified though.

Option 2 may be the thing to aim for and once achieved you can look at what is let in achieving certification.
