The practioner are 2-3 day courses. Yes Now you have to attend a course. with an exam as part fo the course. They are concentrated on the various 10 disciplines and 1 function of ITIL v2.
Some courses combine related disciplines -
I took a Change, Configuration and Release course for practioner
Do you have to take the course. No.
If you are doing the role - Problem mgr, etc, then it would benefit you to take the course & exam
You can always opt for the manager's course but that is 2 weeks out of your life plus all of the study periods _________________ John Hardesty
