Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, I could not find anything similar.
I got the Service Operation book hoping that it was going to help me in my internship as a Change Management staff. Unfortunately, the Service Operation book does not have much CM content.
Should I get the Service Transition book? Note that I am a student and spending +$150 for a book is a lot . |

Usually the company has bought a set of the v2 and/or v3 ITILbooks
The v2 books would have been a better purchase i think but regardless
the books are an investment not a waste of money
Get the Service Support book v2 vice the V3 Service Transition _________________ John Hardesty

Unfortunate mistake, but yes the change management stuff is covered under service transition.
If you haven't left coffee rings all over the Ops book you could probably get a fair bit back via amazon or similar.
Is it worth getting? Depends what grade you want to get...
Seriously it's worth looking at because the Change Management process links into other areas quite heavily, it's not a stand-alone process, so you might be able to find areas to exploit and add value in your internship.
Good luck,

Thank you for your replies.
I will get the Service Support v2. I am looking to get the PDF version, but it seems that there is no PDF version for the v2 books (am I right?). |

Hi,
there should be a .pdf version of the SS and SD books at least for V2. I believe that the can cost 2-3 times more that the hardcopies. Contact the TSO and see if they provide pdf's _________________ Mark O'Loughlin

Thank you guys for your posts.
I finally bought the blue book V2. It will arrive in 1 week.
Thanks to this forum I am about to implement an idea I learned here. I owe you guys a beer (only if I pass my internship). |
