Must admit Mark that I'm also curious... on a scone it could work, but a Bourbon? Could be fatal. _________________ Did I just say that out loud?

UJ -
Yeah I agree. While in the US recently I was brought to a fast food version of a place selling biscuits (uk scones as Liz says) with all manners of toppings and dips. I can't remember the name of it but I have to say they were excellent.
I had to watch the wasit line but it was worth it. _________________ Mark O'Loughlin

Buttermilk biscuits are scone like baked bread that can be baked in a house hold over
Buttermilk cookies in the US are cookies
And Ham on a biscuit (US) is a southern american thing. In states like Virginia, North and South carolina and further south until tyou get to texas
One other meal using the biscuits is biscuits and gravy - using teh biscuit instead of mash potatoes.
And yes, PB&J go to together. Especially Welch's Grape Jelly and Jif PEanut Butter (Creamy)
And chips are fries
anddont even get me started on grits and red eye gravy _________________ John Hardesty

Well, like GMT/time in a previous post, I was going on the standard British biscuit and cake definitions, not those crazy trans-atlantic versions... |

Guys,
don't knock it till you have tried it. I thought the same - but got stuck in and then went back for more. _________________ Mark O'Loughlin
