Seeking someone to be a part of our team to one of our major clients.

Once we receive your response of interest we will either contact you for additional information or forward your background to the person in charge of the project. If they feel you meet the need they will contact you to discuss in more detail the project and your role. At this time we believe they would reach out to you in a matter of one to two days.
Location: South New Jersey, between Philadelphia and Trenton, NJ
Position: Infrastructure Specialist
The infrastructure specialist will support the delivery of an IT Infrastructure solution for an Enterprise Wide Clustering Cross Platform solution that would support current and future capacity growth across multiple applications.
Qualifications:
• Familiar with best practices and technologies for Clustering, Server Farms, Load Balancing; Business Continuity/Disaster recovery practices; Enterprise Storage Technologies.
• Working knowledge of leading Architecture principles and Infrastructure best practices including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
• Experience and skills required in the area of Virtualization Strategies, Web Services, Services Oriented Architectures and Storage Architectures.
• Working knowledge of Performance Management Technologies (Solars Winds, Microsoft Operations Managers, Cisco MARS, etc).
• Experience with tuning and diagnostics across platforms and applications.
• Experience with Oracle’s product line; RDBMS, Applications or Application Server suite of products.
• Experience with Enterprise Middleware - JBOSS required.
• Experience with designing a simple object access protocol (SOAP) approach to integrate and support re-use among various applications and business partners.
Required:
To work out of the New Jersey office 80-90% of the time; under the direction of the IT Architecture Team.
• Familiar with best practices and technologies for Clustering, Server Farms, Load Balancing; Business Continuity/Disaster recovery practices; Enterprise Storage Technologies.
• Working knowledge of leading Architecture principles and Infrastructure best practices including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Does anyone understand ITIL is not the hardware and application install, design or development of the business structure, but the best practices of repeatible processes to manage that.
This is another pound of flesh for a penny. It you do better planning up front the cost of the project would not be so heavy on the backside. Doing right is better than doing fast, or the process to correct what was missed at conclusion and hitting the customer with a new project, to fix what they and your company did not understand.
Sorry, for out burst, but the ITIL implementatio is a full time effort by its self, I have never had a DB admin, SAN manager, Operations Chief allow the ITIL person tell them how to configure the systems or how to manage storage or how to do disaster recovery. We document the process and make changes that are approved by the dept. managers.
