Project Manager, Web Infrastructure

Leads the WEB IT Infrastructure group in managing technical projects to achieve established performance, scalability and reliability requirements. In addition, this position will provide input to system and operational requirements that the computing infrastructure must support, and identify, analyze and address any inter-dependencies and interfaces on the infrastructure.



Provides comprehensive technical project management for various initiatives which are being implemented over the web both for our internal and external customers.
Provides application administration for document management products such as Livelink and Documentum
Provides application administration for collaboration tools such as Webex Connect & Microsoft Share point
Acts as the overall subject matter expert in the document management & collaboration space and provide inputs to different stakeholders within Linksys as needed
Establishes strong working relationships with application programmers, business analysts, members of the Information Technology team.
Participates in the integration of the Linksys IT Infrastructure with Cisco’s IT Infrastructure where appropriate.
Communicates risk, issues, assumptions, timelines and concerns to the management team. Participates in the planning of system releases, iteration plans and the deployment of the systems.
Work with extended team of Application Admin’s, System Admin’s and DBA’s to get the work done for multiple projects based on the overall mutually agreed timelines
Provides inputs as appropriate in the Web Content Management and the Knowledge Management space with specific focus on automating business processes in order to improve overall productivity and efficiency

Qualification:

BS Computer Science, or other equivalent experience
Preferred: MBA, MS in Computer Science or other advanced degree
Preferred: Project Management Professional certification or other project / process certification
Work Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in technical project management across web based applications with specific focus on enterprise domunet management and collaborations.
Extensive experience in EMC Documentum range of products.
Exposure to Microsoft Sharepoint Server Product Suite.
Extensive experience in managing project life cycle across web based applications covering intranet, extranet and internet space
Experience in Enterprise Document management domain swith specific focus on EMC Documentum
Experience in collaboration space with specific focus on MS Share Point and Webex
Exposure to basics of Object Oriented technologies such as J2EE and .Net. Exposure to Web Content Management technologies would be a big plus.
Previous work experience in developing or working of Service Oriented Architecture, Application Architecture or Enterprise Architecture preferred.
Familiarity and work experience with Apache, Red Hat and various Operating Systems (Windows, Unix, Linux) Oracle/SQL database and Network preferred.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict guidelines
Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills;ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences.
Well developed analytical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to details
Certifications such as PMP, ITIL would be a plus
