Hi
I have been searching for hours looking for any server build templates that fit within ITIL any help or points in the right direction would really help.

hi, unless I am mistaken, what you are looking for are procedures. ITIL deals with the processes and not the actual step.
You could start to define your server build as a task in your change management process and use it in your release management process. But how the actual server is built, depends on many factors. What type of image tool do you have? How complex are the servers? What is the standard server software configuration, etc.
If this is what you are referring to, you won't find something like that in ITIL as it does not belong to a process.
As you can probably tell I am new to ITIL and still trying to get my head round it I was tasked with finding this information but obviously I am not going to succeed.

About some data you should collect about your server, you can find some information in Configuration Management ITIL procedure (Service Support ITIL blue book)
Hope it helps
