Hi,
Im currently working on ITSM tool (Remedy) Implementation for our company.
We have a challenge in Integrating the CMDB with Change Management module.
Also, how to restrict access to the CMDB when multiple user groups access the same change mgmt module.
Any one working on ITSM Remedy 7.0, please advise how you manage the CMDB part under change mgmt module

This is a ITIL site. This is not a Remedy support site. Your needs would best served by telling the company that provided you with the tool set
I assume that some company 'helped' you roll out remedy
While some other posters can probably give you some guidance on what to do with remedy, they wont be able to help you to the level you need
They will give you opinion and advice for free
....
That said, do you have policy, process and procedures for change, config and release mgmt w/o any reference to the tool. You should work on this and sketch out the process and the interlinking for YOUR company
Then look at the tool and see where it fits in the dataset _________________ John Hardesty

Viking has it spot on.
I've had some experience with Remedy in the past and the complexities of the tool means I relied heavily on their support, however with a clearly defined requirements document specifying what you want from the tool, and some strong processes meaning the overlaps between release, change and config can be clearly defined the set up of the tool should be fairly straight forward.
