|
|
I have a source on the inside at the OGC who tells me there was a sixth book written for the V3 release but was eventually blocked due to it's controversial content.
'Idiot Management' was designed to cover the very foundations of IT from a non-technical point of view. Unfortunately internal agendas meant that the book was never finished and the content was unfocussed.
Despite this, it contained a remarkable array of information that is still crucial to all IT coffee breaks, such as:
Dogs DO have accents.
Mars isn't red.
America is Welsh.
Earwigs have two penises.
The list goes on, but I don't want to cause unrest in the Community.
I am sure more information will be revealed as the overwhelming demand for the truth about this book builds up.

Did you see the last page? Right down at the bottom in tiny print are the words:

I don't know what you lot did on your bank holiday, but we may have to go to Iznik to sort this out. _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

| What colour is this book, I am yet to see it? In keeping with the vulgar colour scheme, can I suggest Mauve is an option? |

Mauve is a fantastic suggestion. Maybe also Taupe?
It'll have to be a democratic choice. _________________ Did I just say that out loud?

Surely not! We must consider benefits, costs and possible problems at the very least. _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

I've seen the proposed design of the new book, it's definitely beige, and was known by the abbreviation of its full title - RTFM. _________________ When I say 'CCR', please read 'RFC'. |

As long as I don't have to be an Ewok. I am NOT being an Ewok... not again...

I tell where you can stick your Jar Jar!
So in applying ITIL to Star Wars:
Emperor - Service Manager
Darth Vader - Change Manager
Chewbakka - Release Manager
Princess Leia - Availability Manager
Yoda - Problem Manager
Han Solo - Incident Manager
Luke Skywalker - Service Desk Analyst (oh come on, he's rubbish!)
I don't know how to spell their names and no, you don't get any credibility from correcting me!

That's brilliant!!
I especially love the thought of Pricess Leia being available.
Oh, wait - I may have misread that... _________________ When I say 'CCR', please read 'RFC'. |
