|
Hi all,
I recently found an open source free CMDB tool and was wondering if there is anything similar for a service catalogue.
We currently have a up to 4 years out of date excel spreadsheet and i was just wondering if there is anything better out there that is free?
Cheers,

Since a SC can depend on a lot of things.. I dont think any one has written one.... _________________ John Hardesty

Ok thanks very much, that will explain why i cant find anything on the net! lol
Cheers anyway...excel it is. Im off to start the painstaking process of getting this pathetic excuse for a service catalogue up to date...only for it to instantly go out of date again due to lack of processes around it. I raised this..and i quote "Dont do anything on processes for now, just get the service catalogue done"
haha youve got to love it! |

If you have the red book - service delivery.. there is a service level agreement template and i think a service catelogue sample
Here is my take on a SC
service
support hours
classifications avaliable
response time
internal external
business POC
service support group(s) - escalation (SD assumed to be 1st POC)
service descriptions
service technical description - what type o environments are used
for examples
service - mangled hosting
...
std: (yes I know) network, data center, wintel, unix, mainframe _________________ John Hardesty

Hi,
if you have a CMDB have a look at using that. Create service record forms insead of CI forms. The CMDB has to have the ability to relate these service records to each other - otherwise don't bother using the CMDB _________________ Mark O'Loughlin
