Hi,
I was just wondering how much InfraEnterprise 8.0 would charge for a following: (rough/approx amount would do good)
--Modules: Problem Management, Change Management, Release Managment
--Integration between Incident and Knowledge management
Trying to find out but unable to find in google. I have posted an enquiry
with the service provider, waiting for them to respond.
Regards,

How much can you afford to spend
then add 10% for the sales commission, 17.5 % VAT, 7 1/8 % for other tax, and 11 % for taxing this forum _________________ John Hardesty

Vimprash
I dealt with Infra back in 2005, but was looking for Change and Config Man - Unfortunately I have got rid of the quote they gave me, but I seem to remember it was in the region of £42,000. However, some of the functionality I was looking for was not there.
Hope this helps _________________ Regards

Do big suppliers really have a price list for their goods?
I thought suppliers just had a crude guess at how much they thought you could afford, would add a percentage to this, and if this covered their costs, they would send you a quote.
Or is this me just being a cynic? |

Hi swansong
I can see why you might think that, but in my experience, they have a tightly controlled pricelist, for example BMC (Remedy etc) have pricelist that goes down to how many processors the boxes run - the more the processors, the more you pay per box etc. _________________ Regards

Why not call Infra and ask? We have implemented Infra and personally I found it to be a bit pricy for what you get. But that's just me.
Just be aware that Infra is a modular tool so make sure you have very specific list of requirments (functional and non-functional) or you will find out that after you have bought the tool you will have to pay extra for customization of this and that or for some additional support tool. |

Thanks Timo. Now we are waiting for the proposal from Infra. Quotes will be there in the proposal, hoping to get the proposal soon.
Thanks again for the hint. I will create a clear functional and non-functional requirements and submit to Infra for them to revert with exact cost. |

My 2ct as tool-independent consultant:
Ask them also for
history and roadmap of the product
similar implementations
customer reference visit in peer group
administratability
... etc. _________________ Michael B.
