Ambi
what sort of lazy person are you
Instead of posting the same idiotic message that you are clueless about IT and want this forum to do all your work, why dont you do the follow
Use your browser and search ITIL
You say that you have finished university and did not want to do the education path that you chose. So what.
Based on your activity here so far. I would not hire you to be a cleaning crew
you have no initiative
you have no drive
you have interest but not a clue
you have no desire to do the work yourself
you expect other people to tell you what to do
I have a 3 year old grand niece who is more capable that you appear to be
You seem to expect that the world will give you exactly what you want in order for you to succeed.
How long did you spend at University / college
Did you merely show up for class and copy off other people's paper or actually do your own work
There are things called Libraries, book stores, the Internet where you can find information.
There is also - I assume - a career planning office in your office. Make use of it.
Dont waste your time expecting us to provide you with career ideas when you can not even be bothered to do a basic search on ITIL _________________ John Hardesty

You seem angry UKVIKING
The kid is innocent, he only did what his mum and dad said and what neighbours children were doing.
Been given the assurance of the social circle, that after finishing THIS degree of yours you will earn this much money and that's presicely the son/daughter of his Uncle is earning (everyone's salary is in public domain there).
Be kind to him, he is just following his dream.
You know what I mean |

I am not angry. I am irritated that he is so lazy in getting the information he desired yet has the time to TWICE post the same stupid request in 2 different forum in the community
He is expressign a desire to learn about ITIL
so instead of searching the internet for ITIL best practice or go to specific sites - which i wont name - which are sort of a reference site - and read about it
he comes here and whines about wanting us to provide him with everything for which he will be grateful. _________________ John Hardesty

Probably he overheard someone saying,"Don't worry, it'll solve everything" and he mistook it'll for ITIL and came here at the first opportunity.
Poor Joke, i reckon |

dear unviking your words are killing me. i am not a lazy guy. i got my degree by working hard not by copy. and i am not interested in technical because i am interested in mangement. actually i can get loads of information from internet and library. but i am in confusion state. because it is turning point in my life. you know in this confusion state i am wasting my life. once if i decide the path then i can collect every information and i can dedicate to it. so i thought some experienced peoples can only help me.so i came here. so VIKING i came here. but you created fear in me. but still i am begging you give me correct basic information. then i will never askone. dont compare me with 3 year old kid. and sorry if any thing wrong form myside.

Ambi
This is not a counselling site. This is a site for adults to discuss ITIL.
What research have you done on ITIL ?
Have you looked at any other websites ?
Have you read any of the other posts in this forum- section or any other section to see what we are talking about ?
I figure no. You did not bother to even look at Wikipedia, I bet
You merely found this website and expect us to give you all the information and hey even the decision as you obviously from your post want the forum to tell you what to do.
I think SwissTony said it best
Go work for McDonalds. They provide training and you can rise to any level you choose over time. They will make sure you get the training for the role / work you are doing
As for your comments about me scaring you, putting fear in you blah blah blah
I am an IT Professional with 20 years of experience. I am also an American who is blunt and forthright and clearly tactless
If you work in IT, you will find a lot of people like me
Some of us are called a**holes or b**tards. And even more of us are called the Boss, the manager, the director
If you cant deal with this attitude now.. how are you going to function as a managment type of person

One last thing
What do you think the correct informaiton is ?
ITIL consists of several books.
Do you want us to post the entire book ? As the books are copyrighted, that would be illegal and unethical _________________ John Hardesty

Moo
I just hate whiney posts followed up by more whiney posts
I had thought to leave it alone but... he (?) just hit all the right buttons
Intellectual lazy
Unwilling to do his own work (google ITIL for Ghu's sake)
and then whines about how
Unfortunately or fortunately, there is no such thing as a digital pacifer. _________________ John Hardesty

IT's called Freecell
Seriously, though, Bambi the grumpy old git has a point.
What you need to do imho is work out what certifications you may be interested in and why.
The why will be hard for you as you haven't worked in the industry. For example project management may be nothing like what you thought.
Your big advantage is that you are young with (presumably) few commitments. Just get a grad level job, make contacts, notice things. You need runs on the board. _________________ DYbeach

It's threads like this one that make this site better than a soap opera. _________________ Mick Smith
