Hi All,

This is a brief history of my ITIL course provided qualification journey :

ITIL foundation – Taken with Purple Griffin ( office based )
ITIL Intermediate SOA– Taken with Global Knowledge/Fox IT (office based)
ITIL Intermediate – SO – Taken with an online provider ITSM solutions (online based).

So far I’ve been impressed with all the above providers most notably GK and ITSM Solutions.

I’ve recently had an opportunity to join an “ITIL 100 Experts Program” the idea behind this is to join an online program of people around the world who will all work towards the ITIL expert qualification together in roughly 18 months. This will be hosted online with a company called The ITIL Training Zone.

I’d like to know if anyone in this forum have used them and their personal thoughts and experiences about using them for training, such as quality of materials i.e. video and pace of course and would they recommend them?

Or indeed I'm interested to know what people thought generally of any ITIL Online based training they've received.

Thanks

Greg

Hi,
I received invitation from ITIL Training zone last week and it seems they have better price (1500 USD) for the whole program is good thing instead of 5000 USD. but, i would like to know why you didn't complete the remaining two courses and that's it. go for the exams and you have only one is remaining "Bridging through life cycles".
However, I do recommend ITSM solutions or Art of Services.

Good luck!

Hi Hassan2k

I've actually taken the OSA not the SOA - !

I started off by doing the OSA, now I'm doing the SO - I wanted to specialize in the Service operations side of ITIl. Now I've decided what it is I want to do i.e. work towards Expert.

I've been told ideally I can't use OSA and SO exam credits together because they are too similar. Which is after all fair enough.

I considered going down the Capability path but didn't like the thought of not covering CSI - so I'm going to stick with the lifecycle.

I've also dropped out of the ITIL Training Zone because of workload commitments, so it's looking like I will eventually acheive Expert, but on a much more add hoc basis.

Have you used The Art of Service before ? if so how did you rate them ?

Good luck with it. I'll be very interested to know how you got on !

Cheers

Hi OvOcO5,

I use their foundation e-Learning course and it was good.

I am now preparing for the service manager exam. but, may be due to the work load i will switch to complete it in V3 if i did not catch July exam date.

My experience?

V3 Foundation - self taught (being a Service Manager helps....)
V3 Intermediate: SO&A - online course & exam - 73%
V3 Intermediate: OS&A - online course & exam - 88%

Currently doing my MSP Foundation then planning on undertaking the last three course for my V3 Expert. Having found a provider that offers the courses for under £600 - that's course, exam fee & support - methinks I'm going to stick with the online training route.....

Can you help me to find this course? I only found the foundation.

I have also problems to find other online course that qualify for exams.

I passed the V3 Foundation and want to become an expert via online-course and exams at german testcenter like TÜV.

Can you help me?

Hi

I have reviewed both the modules. i would like to learn some papers in life cycle and some in capability module.

Is that possible or valuable to acquire intermediate level?

Please let me know that, so that i will proceed it further.

Raj

A simple google exercise will find several companies that offer this, at least one based in the UK and at least one based in the USA, but location may not be important.

Their sites give fairly comprehensive descriptions of their offerings and also some material that helps you to judge what they are about.
