Other than obvious (revise, revise, revise...ensure that you fully answer the question showing a depth of understanding of the subject area, with properly reasoned arguments, don't just re-iterate passages from the books, plan your time etc etc etc)

1. Practice writing continuously for three hours at one sitting.
2. Leave time at the end to compile all your papers together.
3. Don't necessarily answer the questions in the order they are given. Go for the easy marks first if this helps you get into your stride.
4. Once you have left the room, leave the exame behind you. Don't carry any mental bagagge into the following days exam.
5. A few minutes planning a proper answer is time well spent ; Don't just start blazing away with a stream of consciousness.
6. Enjoy it!

alpha, beta, gamma, delta, eta, theta, ..., omega

I'm pushing the pace, but I do not guarantee correctness, since it's all from school-age memory.

There's a Leonard Cohen song that refers to alpha, omega and delta. [This information is provided with the intention of attracting new listeners to the hundredth and something floor of the Tower Of Song.]

Lazzareo,

Focus on the Blue and Red books, those are the core books, you need to read those fewtimes at least before the exams.

Light As The Breeze, Louise
Did you get to any recent shows (i.e.last couple of years)? So amazing. Sigh.

Nearly got to a concert in Edinburgh a million years ago, but couldn't afford two £7 tickets at the time.

DY,

Must compare record collections some time. I fancy we could open new vistas among the ones we don't have in common. I expect we could compare CDs as well Cool

Diarmid,

finding new music is always fun.

Recently acquired a turntable that plugs into the computer and lets you copy your vinyl to digital format (LPs, not shiny 70s clothing)

Have not even started because that would be the end of my spare time for the forseeable future

I got one of those. Left it for ages for same reasons and then discovered it ran a tiny fraction out of time and the recordings are only just tolerable. When I'm rich, I'll go for top of the range, test it day one and send it right back if less than perfect. Anyone want a slightly out of time Paul Robeson recording? - only kidding, I haven't tried it on 78s.
