How will telling him the answer help him? - Unless the same question comes up every time his knowledge and understanding are tested.
By the way, I've never done this kind of ITIL test and I haven't even seen the v3 manuals, and so my answers could be totally wrong. But I think I understand at least a smidgen about IT sevice management. _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

PB,
if you were to elaborate on your reasoning, you might find you could take out the "(I think)". And you might give others confidence in your answers, because it would show that you were not merely guessing, but had some understanding.
Alternatively we could all post answers without explanation and then treat the most popular answers as correct. _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."
