I have a position in North Carolina for a Director. They are looking for someone with strong experience in ITIL and a candidate that is certified is a big plus. Other key experience will be IBM Tivoli Product set and Enterprise Systems Management (EMS). Below I have posted the entire description. Job Responsibilities Partner with the Architecture, Support, Operations and Application Development teams to develop and implement the Systems Management strategy, tools and operations. Develop, implement and support multi-year roadmaps for Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) infrastructure and tools Ensure the ongoing viability and supportability of the Systems Management model and solutions, through development and socialization of appropriate measurements and governance, Leverage technology and standards to build and deliver systems to support the business requirements for systems management, and Develop an understanding of the business and build strong relationships with the Architecture, Support, Operations and App Dev teams. Implement and support Systems Management tools enabling system and application event monitoring, capacity management, performance management, software distribution & patching, configuration management and Help Desk support and integration. Implement and support a Continuous Process Improvement methodology to continually monitor and improve the infrastructure and processes. Responsible for the product lifecycle management of the ESM infrastructure and tools as well as the integration of management tools and correlation of events from various technology disciplines including Telecom, Database and application development tools (e.g., web monitoring tools, vendor specific application monitoring tools). Deliver projects on time and on budget. Manage vendor relationships and partner with Procurement to negotiate and execute contracts. Participate in Annual Operating Budget planning and manage operating budgets throughout year (includes accruals, cross charging, forecasting). Facilitate resource management through consistent time tracking. Set strategic direction for Systems Management engineering and ensure continued operation of all systems via appropriate HA and DR technologies Provide high quality baseline engineering support as well as stay current on latest technological direction in this space. Influence and educate senior level management regarding Systems Management direction. Integrate tools with processes; maintain close liaison with Enterprise Process teams Recruit and retain a high caliber engineering staff. Work with Operations, Application Development and the Customer Service Desk to assist in the development of a support model to ensure alerts are consistently forwarded to the proper support groups. Support Server: AIX, Solaris, Win2003, Win2000, WinNT, Novell, IBM Mainframe and Desktop: Windows 2000 Prof., Windows XP Job Requirements *Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or Information Systems Management; Masters degree desired. *Specialized expertise in managing technology teams in a Fortune 500 corporation working on large multi-client, multi-location projects. *10+ years experience leading the design, development and delivery of ESM solutions Superb analysis and troubleshooting skills. *IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience and certification a plus Excellent interpersonal, client and communication skills. *Builds good working relationships with clients, peers, staff, etc. Ability to work with diverse groups across locations. *Ability to get things done through others. *Ability to influence others and bring diverse groups to consensus. *Builds trust. Has integrity. *Experience on complete IBM Tivoli Product Set as well as the following products a plus: Peregrine, Quest Foglight/Spotlight, Wily Intrascope, Lucent VitalSuite, Mercury J2EE, HP Insight Manager, NetIQ, Spectrum Network Monitoring Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Infrastructure engineering and/or architecture experience
