BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS Establish ITIL conformant; CMMI compliant configuration management processes for the Enterprise IT group. The Configuration Manager will work closely with the Release and Change Managers, Business Process Owners, application development managers and other stakeholders to develop and operate change governance across multiple business units, and organizations served by Enterprise IT. This will include establishing effective configuration management processes, coordinating and administering business process and business unit configuration management processes, auditing and reporting
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: As the Configuration Manager you will be required to have constant interaction with our customers various corporate entities; and corporate performance improvement initiatives; therefore excellent oral and written skills are a must. Comprehensive understanding of the ITIL change governance processes of Change, Release and Configuration Management. Work closely with the Change and Release Managers to integrate ITIL Change, Release and Configuration Management best practices within the CMMI framework; connecting the appropriate CMMI functions with ITIL processes. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for fully documenting processes, procedures, job aids and reference materials to enable change processes to be implemented as a routine method of operation throughout the enterprise IT service delivery organization.
