Job Description:
We are currently seeking an ITIL Problem Manager in our Waterloo location. In this position you will be responsible for the Problem Management process globally and execution based on ITIL Problem Management Definition. You will identify recurring IT operational issues to identify root cause with the help of various engineering and operational teams. You will develop and implement problem solutions to prevent recurrence of issues. You will work with internal engineering teams as well as external teams / vendors to resolve ongoing problems. You will be responsible to create and maintain updates to the known error database. You will facilitate the use of ITIL problem management process and strategy within the organization
Qualifications: • 7 + years experience of experience with ITIL in an IT environment. • Ability to facilitate the adoption of Problem Management Process within an IT environment. • Expert knowledge of network systems/infrastructure management and process methodologies and practices • Strong knowledge of architecture and systems administration processes for UNIX, Linux and Microsoft Systems • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and data collection • ITIL Certification including Foundation, Manager’s / Practioner’s certification • Degree in a technical field an asset • Ability to interact with all levels of management both inside and outside BlackBerry Engineering • Excellent communication (oral, listening and writing) skills • Strong Problem Solving, time management and organizational skills
