Yes your are right , CMDB database contains all relevant details of each CI & details of the important relationships between CI’s , incidents,problems , known errors ,changes & relaeses. As per ITIL peopleware should also be included.
An Asset does not caupture the relationships & other details.
IS it true that
1) "A CMDB should be built on top of sound ITAM principles"
is this a rule.
