Check if your change management software has got a provision for FSC.
If your change Management software does not have a provision you can alternatively... use your lotus notes to display FSC. It takes bit of customisation and an expert is required for it.
or else you can create a web page and attach it to the IT Deparment's website which displays the FSC.
Hope this helps!

We used an Excel spreadshet version 2.0 which came straight fromthe DB
This allowed the users to apply filters - date customers
Sometimes there would be 100+ RFCs
The FSC came out twice a day for all the divisions of my company _________________ John Hardesty

I am using Sharepoint - fre software, it gives a Calendar view if you wish, or a list that can be displayed in various sort sequences as required - we prefer the list of all items with the newest implementation date first. I think it is better than Excel, and as good as Outlook.

Hello Tsulli,
There is no right or wrong, here, I guess.
We provide a free FSC solution embedded in our centralized web platform. There is no development or customization required. Customers can run a simple reports that tells them what Changes for what Products, Releases, and/or Services are being deployed to any specific environment: by whom, when, where, etc. There is also a "Recent Changes" feature that quickly tells people logging in what is going on.
One thing that we do that is different is that our FSC also handles environments before Production, so that stakeholders can manage the flow of Changes from development all the way through to Production. This is outside the scope of ITIL, as I believe that ITIL inappropriately forgets to account for all these other important environments.
I hope this helps,

ITIL doesn't forget to account for the other environments. They are mentioned in passing in the Service Support books due to the emphasis of ITIL Service Management on the production environments. The management of change, through development, testing and QA environments is discussed in more detail in the Application Management and Infrastructure Management books. ITIL is not just about Service Support and Service Delivery.
