I just completed my Service Delivery exam, Service Support was yesterday, and I'm both exhilerated and exhausted. What a wild ride!!
However, I feel good about both tests. Since EXIN doesn't offer distinction, all I need is a 50 on each, which I'm sure I managed.
I just needed to rejoice with people that understand
I should know in 4 - 6 weeks. |

I bet your brain is feeling a little fried right now. Here's hoping that the wait for the results doesn't feel too long
How did you find the whole experience, what tips would you give to people who wish to take the Manager's Certificate in the future? |

peppermint,
I read the red and blue book prior to the class, then every night during the class. The first week between I only managed an hour or so a day, plus the weekend, the second week between I managed about an hour - hour and a half or so until that Friday, which was a solid 8 hour day of review. Then the last week, I studied some from the notes I took during the Revision, and that was it other than reviewing the case study on Tuesday. I also re-read my highlighted notes in the book.
A long hard road, but worth it.

itilimp,
I've actually thought a lot about the advise I would give.
1 - Read the books
2 - Determine what form you want to use for your notes, then expect it to change 2 - 3 times while you work on them
3 - Read the books
4 - Realize that you don't have all the "best" answers and listen to your classmates and learn from their experiences as well
5 - Read the books
6 - Don't stress overly much going into the test; if you don't know it 100% cold going into the last week, no amount of stress will cram it into your brain. Come to peace with it, it helps
7 - Did I say read the books?
8 - Burn into your brain that you only need 50 to pass
9 - Enjoy the class, its a wonderful expereince |

Hi wendy,
All the best...
And I undersatnd that "reading the books" and getting the basics cleared is the most important thing. This applies to any exam we write...
Can you tell me approaximately how many questions were there in the exam and the approaximate weighage to each question ?
Cheers

The exams were the same - Service Support & Service Delivery
Each exam was 3 hours long, with 5 questions per exam. Three of the questions were in two parts, and two were in three parts.
Getting the case study two weeks before helped tons. It was all over the exam. |
