Hi. I recently passed the exam for the Foundation certificate (yea!) and am looking at vendors that provide Practitioner: Support and Restore training.
Since there are a fair amount of vendors out there that offer this training, thought I'd ping this group for suggestions on training vendors they would recommend.
The ones I am interested in at the moment:
-HP
-ITSM Academy
-Pink Elephant
--> Feedback on these and others for the IPSR class would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks. |

I've done all my training with HP and loved every bit of it. I've sent some people to Pink Elephant's Foundation to compare and I think at the time HP's program was superior. The 7 instructors I know at HP were top notch, and really cool guys/gals. I am still in contact with most of them. I've heard good things about the ITSM Academy but I have no experience. _________________ BR,

This is a copy/paste from a similar question posted in the certification forum -
Let me first put in a major disclaimer. I am a former Pink Elephant employee who was on the development team for the Pink Elephant Support and Restore Practitioner Course. I also co-delivered the first public EXIN certified Support and Restore course that was ever taught.
Having said that, I can say that I think that Pink Elephant's material does a good job of addressing the information EXIN expects students to have an understanding of in order for them to pass the exam.
I haven't been an instructor for Pink for about 5 months, but I doubt the course material has changed significantly. It was by far my favorite course to teach and I believe one of the most applicable of all the practitioner courses.

I've been to HP classes (that's where I got my support & restore), and I've been to the ITSM Academy.
Hands down, I prefer the ITSM Academy. In a private conversation with an instructor we talked about several things that HP never covered at all. Also, you get the real copy of the books vs an interpreted copy. |

I attended my IPSR class through BMC in Dallas, TX.
What I found was that most of the other students in the class had registered through other companies, i.e. Pink Elephant, Global Knowledge, etc. BMC was actually cheaper than what other students paid. If you shop around you should be able to find a good price.
The class was great only 8 students so that gave all kinds of time for questions and 1 on 1 with the instructor. |

I had my foundations with HP, they were great. Really knew what they were doing, making sure you understood the material.
IPSR was with ITSM Academy. They were great too. The instructor had a lot of real life experience to share. The entire class passed the exam.
Good luck _________________ -----------------
