|
|
What experience has anyone had with the newscale, service catalog (Alignment Center), software? How was the cost and implementation?
Also has anyone taken their training, "Service Catalog Design Workshop"? Is the workshop generic to service catalogs or is it all about their software? Anyone please, I need some help on this!
Thanks!

Hi, this is hearsay, but from a reliable source the newscale implementation at a large healthcare company went $800K then got unplugged. Hearing rumors of similar issues at a large beverage company. |

Thank you so much for responding, but my question is more on the training that people have had and whether or not it was generic enough or tuned more to the Newscale product. I would love any feedback on this.
Thanks! |

I was just out at the Pink Elephant IT Service Management show in Las Vegas and they did the training out there. It is purely for their product with very little disguise. NewScale also hosts what is supposedly an "open source" site for service catalogs but it is really a front to a live demo of their software. http://www.servicecatalogs.com/WikiHome |

Thank you so much, this is so helpful for me. I was going to take the
Design an ITIL-Compliant Service Catalog Training
and How to Successfully Deploy a Service Catalog
Would you recommend these classes? I need to set up a Service Catalog and have never done this.
Again, I really appreciate the help!

If you are going to use their tool (decision made) , I would not consider it a problem to attend their course (I would even recommend it, that would ease the implementation).
However if you want to have a more general approach on the subject , I would not recommend to attend any vendor's course.... you should rather get in touch with vendors independant experts (e.g consulting firms). Just make sure they are es expert as they say they are.... _________________ JP Gilles |
