So, with the ITIL V2 Foundation Exam, the focus was on the 6 processes of Service Support and the 5 processes of Service Delivery.

*What will be the focus of the new V3 Foundation Exam?

*I've read people on here who state that a new Foundation exam won't be available until 2008. But I've read elsewhere that a new exam will be available as early as June 11th. Which is correct?

*What book will best prepare one for the v3 Foundation Exam?

6. When will the new exams be available?
The new ITIL books will be launched May 30, 2007. New Foundation exams are scheduled to be available from the Exam Institutes after June 11, 2007. HP plans to offer V3 based Foundation courses as of June 18, assuming no slippage in exam availability from the exam institutes. Higher level certification plans are still being finalized. For an update, please see the following OGC ITIL V3 Alert. Once these higher level certification schemes are finalized and published, HP will develop and release appropriate courses.

The exam will be available from mid-June 2007. Training organisations have just received a sample, and are currently all frantically preparing V3 courses. V2 will still be available until the end of 2007.
V3 Foundation exams will cover all 5 books, but to what depth remains to be seen.

So both V2 and V3 tests will be available concurrently for some time, it sounds like.

Is there any good material available for the V3 exam that's similar to the "Foundations of ITSM Based on ITIL"?

Is the updated Toolkit suitable for study with the V3 Foundation exam?

Thanks
