Can anyone recommend practise/self-study exams, computer based simulations ?
I've read about the EXE and ISEB... is there any difference about the level of difficulty of the questions ?
I've bought some self-test software ('pass gaurenteed'), practised with it and consistently got 90%. After scoring good in these exams I thought myself prepared. Big mistake. The questions in the practise seemed like each answer could be correct, offcourse only one is correct. Whereas in the practise exam the questions/answers was very straightforward and easy.
I worked in an organisation where the 'best practises' was almost followed to the letter. When I did the exam I though about how it was applied in my organisation... Big mistake. This doesn't seem to fit how the answer should've been.
What would be the best way to study ? What should I read ?
I recommend you invest a couple of grand in a foundation training course (no I am not in any way associated with any of the providers).
i suggest this for two reasons:
1) you will learn ITIL rather than just learning how to pass the exam
2) V3 is now out, and it will be a while before there are any cheapy study guides on eBay (they are mostly pirated material anyway). even the official V3 study guide will be a while, maybe before the end of the year. V2 is obsolete (though I reckon it will live on for years despite OGC's determination to kill it off). _________________ The IT Skeptic
