I was reading somewhere that some companies use Prevetative budgets in Problem Managment.
What are these? Hase anyone set these up or implemented them. Does anyone have a process for them? Any info - would be appreciated - thanks _________________ BB

The only times I've heard of such a concept is when it was associated with "Risk Management", which is fundamentally the process by which you address and manage your Risks, in a controlled attempt to avoid future Incidents and Problems.
These enterprises realize that they need to spend a certain amount of time, money, and energy to address Risks, every year. As a result, they proactively plan budget for them, anticipating that they will find new Risks, like they have every year in the past.
However, based on the little bit of information you've provided, I can't guarantee that this is the same type of "preventative budget" that you're referring to.
