Have recently passed the V2 Foundation exam by self studying. I found all the information on these forums absolutely invaluable, so, many thanks to everyone who contributes!
I see that there are forum questions regarding v3 Foundation course study material and the v3 foundation exam.
However I haven't seen one regarding people who possess v2 Foundation certificate and wish to gain the v3 Foundation certificate via self study.
Obviously you could purchase the v3 Self Study material from http: //itil.certification.info that has been mentioned elsewhere in other threads and sit the bridging/full v3 Foundation certificate exam.
As the v3 Foundation Cert and v3 Foundation Bridging Course Syllabus's are available on the official ITIL website you could tailor the self study to the syllabus.
I am also aware that there is 1 day course available and a 20 question multiple choice test.
I have a few questions though:
1) Is there any self study material available that is designed specifically for the foundation bridging exam?
2) Are there any 'public' exams for those who self study v3 ie) Thomson Prometric in the UK?
3) Does anyone else have any better ideas?
The version 3 exam isn't available yet at Thomson Prometric. This is scheduled, but obviously this lack of availability is a problem for a lot of people.
The only ways around this that we are aware of are the routes described in the stickied thread, via contact with the examination bodies. This does seem to work, although it is nowhere near as convenient as the above would be.
