I am currently in the process of developing a Release Management process that will be used for a large FI and have not found much out there in terms of sucess stories or lessons learned. Has anyone out there developed /implemented Release Management? I am trying to define a policy for Release Types & Frequency of such releases...

Remember, Release Management is the minion of the evil emperor, i.e. Change Manager. You release when Change Management tells you to do so. Your job is to take the tasking, ensure that rollback plans etc. exist, and make it happen.
