I am hoping to take the Service Manager Certification training and examination as soon as possible... I have a few questions for the group: 1. Which training companies provide Manager Level Certification training? 2. How good are these companies.. which has the best record for successful exam certifications from trainees? 3. When are the next exams? I know the ITSM Acadamy has a Service Manager cource which begins October 16-20, continues on October 30-Nov 3 with Exam Prep Nov 13 and exams November 15 & 16, 2006.. the location is Florida..
All training companies have to be accredited, which keeps standards up. More importantly is to understand how their approach suits you. Some emphasise the techniques for passing the exam more than others. There is much, much more to be gained from the courses than just this, but I would advise asking how much time is spent on mock exam questions, with feedback from the tutors. In my experience, most people have the knowledge, but do not know how to present it in the best way to gain the marks.
Don't underestimate the reading outside of the actual courses - you need to know the red and blue books thouroughly! _________________ Liz Gallacher,
