I have a requirement to do a process flow on almost every thing! Question is: my predecessor used visio, is there anything that is more user friendly or is that the defacto tool of choice?

I know that CAP Gemini used to have SDW, I don't think they support it anymore.
Also: Bwise has a product that allows you to draw your process flows. My only experience with Bwise is a demo, it looked allright.
The last tool I know is Mavim. I only know them as a Dutch company, yet maybe they also go international.

Hello Wireed,
Visio is a very cost effective and powerful solution that should solve many of your enterprise's diagramming needs, not just for process. I wouldn't recommend looking for other tools unless you're looking to do things like process based code synthesis or live simulation, which takes you into a much higher level of complexity and cost.

I agree with Frank. Visio is my favorite tool to put together any kind of diagram or drawing, from a simple map, through a network diagram, to a flow chart.
It's not expensive, easy to use, and can fit almost to any purpose.
