For general information and resources, ITIL and ITSM World is the most well known for both ITIL and ITIL Books. A shorter snapshot approach can be found at ITIL Zone

This is a cheesy question, but I'm looking to create a cheesy list.
I just wanted to get a list of the benefits of sending employees to training, something that would be easy to pitch to upper management to get support.
I'm sure these will be entirely entangible benefits, but that should be good enough.
Thanks for any help.
Here are some benefits of using ITIL processes I found on the web.
I could ways just say, "If we learn ITIL, in the future we can..."
Customer satisfaction with IT services which meet their needs
Reduced risk of not being able to meet the business requirements for IT services
Reduced costs in developing procedures and practices within an organization
Better communication and information flows between IT staff and customers
Assurance to the IT Director that staff are provided with appropriate standards and guidance
Greater productivity and best use of skills and experience
A quality approach to IT service provision
