i am a PhD student would like to do a research in ITSM in UK, i am quite lost because i been shopping for more than 3 month and couldnt start .any one who can give some suggestions (which area really needs an investigation)will be highly appreciated
you could add some more details what do you want to specialize in, but personally I have found that the itSMF website (.co.uk) is a good source of information, presentations are uploaded from conferences and seminars.
To be the first one to respond , actually i visited the ITSM and you are right the site has many valuable informations, now i am trying to focus on relating ITIL to Enterprise architecture .idont know i'v read many informations and i am like one who shops in the internet , many choices but doesn't know what to select
If you want to look at architecture type of things, you might want to find link between SOA and ITIL. SOA can be one of driver to have ITIL, or vice versa, along with many other compliance and methodology TLAs. A very topical area is ISO20000 for example. Depending on when do you have to submit your dissertation you can have a look at the ITIL Refresh and its success. Sorry, these might be wildly off the mark, I have never done PhD, so I'm kinda unclear about the requirements.
actually i am just starting my PhD but i have to Submit a research question with aim and objectives i.e. I have to add a new value to this domain
hoping we will hear some suggestions from this forum
and thanks alot for every body participate and try to Enlighten my vision
