Hi Ed,
Is it possible for me to also grab a copy of that flowchart? Email address is griffsta@internode.net.
I am currently reviewing our change processes and this would assist greatly.
Thanks,
Paul |

I think it is very important to note that just as important as the steps, is what is done at each step and what is documented. I have had experience at clients where there process is throughout and very good but there was no documentation at each phase. Auditors don't usually like that!

David |

Hi Ed,
could I join the list for your flowchart. I guess it could be really useful. Sometimes I get the feeling I am completely lost in the ITIL ocean.
Thanx,
Sara

Could you also send svienb@hotmail.com the chart please.
Also Ed,
Do you think it would be beneficial to call out the build and test stages of the change process ? Or do you prefer just the 4 stages you stated earlier ?
I saw on this thread that someone had done this.
From my experience I think this would give better visibility to the change for managers.

HI Ed, I'd appreciate the chart too: jpgilles06@hotmail.com
Some of the change status I usually work with (context dependant usage):
- Submitted
- Analysed
- Approved/rejected
- Planned
- Assigned (*)
- Developped/elaborated (*)
- Tested (*)
- Scheduled (*)
- Packaged (*)
- Implemented/postponed/refused
- Validated
- Removed
JP
(*) this would relate to the Realease Management process , but can be use to "track" the change through that process. _________________ JP Gilles |

Hi Svien
If you go back through my posts I think that tehere are many more steps than just the 4 - when you get the flowchart you will see what I mean - I just did not want to spend all day detailing them when a look at the chart makes it clear
I know lazy or what
Regards
Ed
Ps chart will follow very soon |
