Position Description.
This position supports the United States Army Information Technology Agency (USAITA) Network Infrastructure (NI) Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) project plan. Responsibilities include the following: o Facilitate and successfully implement 6 key processes (Problem Management Process, Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Service Level Management, and Operations Management) under the HP ITSM Reference Model and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). o Evaluate & refine the current program processes using ITIL Best Practices. o Develop a set of definable, repeatable and measurable processes that fully comply with ITSM/ITL provisions, and ensure that they are implemented. o Incorporate a ?Quality by Design? approach to the project to assure that all activities are performed to the satisfaction of program management, that all deliverables meet requirements, and are compatible with the overall ITA enterprise ITSM initiative. o Conduct ITSM Training for Program Staff.o Develop an implementation plan and project schedule that will address the implementation of the 6 key processes throughout NISO and manage the integration points with the other service centers that may have mutual dependencies.Desired Skills:o Individual must be a subject matter expert in ITSM/ITIL methodology.o Demonstrated experience in implementing ITSM/ITIL in a large complex organization.o Have demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling, implementing and managing ITSM/ITIL programs.General Position DescriptionAnalyzes production, inventory control, distribution, cost analysis, finance, marketing, human resources, and/or a variety of other business and technical problems to formulate and develop new and modified information processing systems. Represent the business activity in all information technology developments. Coordinates with all organizations involved ascertaining system requirements such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Requires knowledge of ecommerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes and workflow.Typical Minimum EducationBachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
