Hi Tom,

As with a high-school diploma, you are within your right as an employer to request official certification. If you have doubts on the validity of the cert, ask for their official score sheet or the weighting associated with theirs. If they are certified, they should be able to either spout that off or provide you with the weighting. Hope this helps.
