hi guys,

I've been reading ITIL and intrested to implement service desk.
but my company is a small one so we have a limited budget.

is there a good open source or free service desk

The ITIL books run 65 + VAT GBP per book

check out the itsmf web site search on itsmf

check amazon too

as to service desk tools... there are tons .... free... inexpensive .. etc

and you get what you pay for

Hello Wei_Smooth,

When you say that you have a small budget, how small is it?

1) You'd be surprised at what you can get with a very small budget.
2) You'd be surprised at how expensive it will be to install and maintain your own tools, year-over-year.

Explore all your options before jumping.

Sorry, but that comment is so out-dated it is no longer funny. That would mean that Windows is vastly superior to Linux or that sex with a prostitute is better than sex with your wife.

Although there are commercial products that are better than OTRS, there many that do not compare at all to OTRS.[/code]
