Our IT department is a bit away from ITIL implimentation. However, I am actively searching what would be the constitution of a Change Management Board and what is the best practice on the frequency of meeting of this board ? Does anyone have advice?

Change Management Board or Change Advisory Board shud consists of various staffs within you department . All depends on the severity of the problem describe in the RFC. Set priority to the RFC and form the advisory board base on the RFC . It do not have to be permenant but form the board base on the problem and get the concern person especilly the users and if its is critical and have impact on the business then get the CIO to be involve. :[img][/img][/b][/list][/code]

Our CAB consists of technical and business people, internal staff and external organisations providing service to the organisation. CAB is engaged for all RFCs categorised as Significant and Major and the Senior Management Team (CIO, IT Managers, etc) may be engaged for Major RFCs that are determined to have a high level of business risk attached to them.

It is important to note that the specific requirements of the Change determine the makeup of the CAB and when it meets. The Change Manager is the only person guaranteed to always be at a CAB meeting.
