If we want to analyze the business process (manufacturing process, organizational process, …..) , the best way is to model process with the appropriate modeling tools.
So it is important that we define my requirements to select the appropriate modeling tools. For example if we want to identify sequence of process operation , it is better to apply sequence diagram(UML model) or flowchart which attend in your article.
If it is possible I want to know the entire requirements which are supplied from process analyzing .
I have posed the same question in a different ITIL forum. I alluded to the possibility of using BPMN 1.0/2.0 as standard notation to describe the ITIL processes (functions) and workflows. UML 2.0 as I undestand merges with BPMN 2.0 to make the issue easier for us.
