Hi,

I have to implement IT Security Policy on the basis of ITIL guide line but I do not have idea what the topic should be cover in this policy.

In ITIL security is covered by availability management and is based on a CIA rating - "Confidentiality", "Availability" and "Integrity".

For instance a highly confidential service that requires high availability and high integrity would have a CIA rating of 1,1,1. The same but with low integrity would be 1,3,1 (normally 1-3 rating).

The security of the service would then be specified in the SLA.

I'm studying for the ITIL managers exam a ITIL security management practitioner maybe able to assist you more on this.

Do you have exprence in ISO 27001 ?

Do you think thats ITIL an important base for 27001 ?
I saw simular processes/services in both
