I got trained in v2 in last April. Now wants to take the exam in v3. Can I pass the exam with the v2 material? OR do I need to read anything extra? Please advise
You CANNOT pass the V3 exam with only V2 knowledge. The syllabus is very different, there are new processes, new names for old concepts etc. You need to study the new books (Try Van Haren Publishing for some good ones) _________________ Liz Gallacher,

The V2 Foundation is still available. There was talk of it ending at the end of 2007, but now we have been told that we will have 6 months notice before it is withdrawn. I am delivering as many V2 as V3 Foundations at the moment.
You do not NEED to re-certify in V3 unless you want to. If you have V2 Foundation you can do a 1 day Bridging course + exam to convert to V3. The higher exams in V3 are not yet available, so it is often advisable to take V2 Foundation and Managers (if you want) and the bridging qualifications later. This is a cheaper, faster route to V3 ITIL Expert, and means you lose none of the good stuff in V2. _________________ Liz Gallacher,
