ITIL :: View topic - Tracking Process failures in PM
Posted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 12:08 am Post subject: Tracking Process failures in PM
I think I saw a thread on this in this forum but can't find it again so apologies if I'm repeating a question already answered.
When a process fails, the procedure for determining "why" can be very similar to RCA on a Problem Record. So close that we've thought about tracking these failures in our Problem Management tool.
Is anyone currently doing this (Its not the 'norm" but makes sense to us)? What CTIs have you created?
Any reasons as to why this may not be a good idea?
