Anybody working with Capacity Management for database system resources ?
I am looking for sample documents prepared for Capacity Management.
Not getting proper idea/template through net searching. If anybody able to provide any, that would be gre8 help ....

Hi Irene,
I'm not sure you will find sample CM documents much use as CM has to be very well tailored to the services and infrastructure. Someone else's documents might not suit you, and, especially if you are new to this, you might not realize the difficulties ahead if you just adopt from systems built for different situations from your own.
Perhaps the way to get started is to set down what you need CM to do; then identify what inputs, processes and outputs are needed for this (I'm sure there is something in the ITIL manual to help with this). From this you can start to specify how the processes need to work and the documentation needs should fall out of this.
Remember, ITIL is not a documentation system. Documents are derived from process, not the other way round.
