Yoh IT has a contract opportunity for a Supplier Manager to join our customer in Wilmington, Delaware.
Liaise with external suppliers on operational issues that effect multiple applications or x-GDD effect.
Coordinate information flow to/from ASMs on issues that span multiple applications or business areas within GDD that leverage common platform components like Oracle, Citrix, Documentum, Web Hotel, Business Objects and others.
Assist the GSPM by providing information and a Service Performance presence in the region.
Act as the point of contact for operational issues that cut across applications stemming from middleware, facilities issues with data centers, or off-shore vendors Application Support Desks.
Assist the GSPM by managing the performance of externally provided horizontal services (including IS OBS, Discovery IS, IT Services/IBM, and off shoring vendors) through contract and supplier management.
Manage the effective introduction to changes in key sourcing relationships in the region. Co-ordinate and manage key Service Delivery processes as appropriate, including: Service level management, Financial management, Capacity management, Availability management, Continuity management for supplied services. Work with ASMs and SD&I
Ensure that key Service Support processes (including: Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management) are implemented and effective and efficient.
Deliver performance report information.
Assist the GSPM in understanding regional nuances of labour laws and commercial agreements.
Ensure that Application Delivery and Service Development & Implementation requirements are met in terms external Service provision.
Ensures that the delivery of externally supplied services to the region meets GDD IS needs in support of GDD business.
Escalates service delivery issues in the region from external suppliers to those organizations Service Management Groups and to the GDD IS Global Service Performance Manager.
Skills and Experience Needed
Degree in a relevant subject, or 7-10 years experience working with Information Systems or Service Management.
Experience in strategic planning, requirements analysis, and service delivery and systems life-cycle management.
Working knowledge of service management framework (ITIL).
People management experience.
Some experience interacting with external suppliers either on a commercial or service basis.
Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, and an understanding of the drug development process.
Have demonstrated experience of partnering with internal functions and working with third parties in order to work with other IS groups to ensure Service Management activities and capabilities meet business objectives.
Must be up-to-date with Industry standards and be capable of translating the impact of external developments on internal practices, whilst balancing the technical issues against business goals.
Possess strong working knowledge and experience in the skills areas: Service Delivery Management, and Service Level Management.
Exceptionally qualified candidates will have experience with Capacity Management, Change Management (Implement/Service), Service Continuity Management, Availability Management, and Configuration Management.
Demonstrated experience and strong working knowledge in the following capabilities: Service Management, Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills. Planning, Business Analysis, Project & Program Management, Portfolio Management, Business Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management, IS Quality Management, Business Process M and Business Performance Management.
A firm understanding of Project and Technical Architecture is recommended. Incumbent will need to possess strong communication skills and experience working with or in multiple or integrated technical teams.
