has anyone read kotter and thought that is too american for us english folk? I am at that stage done the analysis got my report of where we are what my recommendations are against the ITIL framework. Looking now to do the visioning bit with my reserved IT managers. I might as well be from mars as well as being female... they aren't that bad and neither am I but it is a challenge and I don't blame them. I like kotter I think it makes sense but I can see my colleagues curling their toes at some of that visioning stuff. Need to translate it into english techie culture. Am I alone here. Great book but isn't it of a culture on its own. Zoe

Sorry but I am not based in the UK. Here in the Netherlands, we use Kotter's 8 steps for succesfull change both as part of our capabilities, AND as part of a 'Transformeter' (a measurement of organisational change capacity). We find it a very usefull means to strengthen our approach within any organisational improvement / transformation.
