In July of 2002, EMC entered into an innovative, business transformation outsourcing agreement with Accenture. The mission of the new EMC business—Information Solutions Consulting—is to provide customer-specific storage consulting services that help clients improve business performance, lower the total cost of storing information, and manage their information in the most effective and most secure way throughout its lifecycle. EMC provides the storage architecture, account management and sales expertise. Accenture provides consulting depth and solution development skills, along with delivery and services management expertise. Accenture also is responsible for recruiting and training executives, and building the teams’ infrastructure. All consulting delivery personnel within ISC are Accenture employees. ITIL Process Consultants are individuals who participate in a wide range of IT and storage process related consulting engagements. These projects may include assessment, requirements definition and solution design as related to key ITIL areas. The work may also include implementing solutions including new process components, organizational structures, tools and technology or policies. Individuals may also participate in business case development, KPI and metric definition and financial analyses. Consultants have opportunity to build technical and managerial skills within the storage solutions space. They conduct work planning and prioritization for their team/group and are often accountable for maintaining day to day client relationships. -Lead or participate in the analysis of a client’s current environment and the definition of future business and technical requirements -Perform strategic analysis and develop recommendations in one or more of the following areas: TCO, ROI, Risk, Security, Business Impact, Sourcing -Manage an ISC team that may include client, EMC and/or subcontractor team members
Travel Requirements:
• Must be willing to travel upwards of 75% throughout the domestic US. Travel is typically departure on Monday with a return on Thursday evening.
