I have finished my ITIL Foundation in 2004 and I have also gathered good amount of experience on implementing the process in my company. I would like to know whether ITIL service manager training and certification would be of any help to me in my career.

My nature of work involves application service delivery. Suggest me an appropriate idea to pursue my next level ITIL certification.

Regards,
Premkumar

In my humble opinion, getting the highest level of certification is going to be a positive in your career. Plus you learn alot that you can apply to your day-to-day job.

Nothing beats formal certification and good work experience.

I'm starting to get more excited about V3 as I start to read the books (I have V2 Manager Cert). Certainly the ideas in the Strategy and CSIP books can elevate people within their company be getting closer to the business than ever and measuring the success of their efforts better.
