The correct ITIL term is
Recurring Incident
This would be a problem but the underlying root cause is known
This has an impact on Availability
- I dont like working when it is raining
This has an impact on capacity
- how many umbrella can fit on a side walk while not keeping you from getting wet
This has an impact of Disaster / Cotinuity mgmt
It is f****g raining. what a disaster...
good thing I aint in NOLA _________________ John Hardesty

Okay. We've got your actual rain now. I was wrong. Which proves I'm a weatherman.
It's absolutely stotting down now. _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

Hi Diarmid,
So it seems you are one day behind our weather. Well the good news it's a bit dryer today.
I'm half way through a book called The Cloudspotters Guide and it's fantastic. Well, fantastic if you're British I guess, no one else can understand why we're obsessed with the weather.

Of course I did some research to back up my statement. I discovered that talking about the weather is also common in Belgium.
According to sources in Veerle's blog, it may be universal and along with traffic is considered a good starter in making acquaintance with someone because it is unlikely to cause offence and is most likely to be understood by others.
So may I comment that this summer has seen some very variable weather; it has even been hot and cold on the same day sometimes.
And my feet are freezing right now, but at least the rain is off (just). _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

Well, spring has definitely sprung in Sydney (well it's trying its best) and it's lovely. Main weather conversation in Australia is lack of water, especially along inland rivers due to the river water being diverted for agriculture _________________ DYbeach

What'd I say?
Anyway, it's raining today.
Has anyone (UK at least) noticed that TV weather forecasts now show rain as serious flooding across the map rather than a spatter of raindrops or a heavy cloud formation?
It makes you wonder which came first - the forecasts or the floods? _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

I thought saw on the weather map this morning that Cornwall and Wales are now missing, completely submerged into the sea. It's just a matter of time.
My Mum lives in Wales and texted me today to say one of those sweet 'Mum' things: "Hi love I hope you are well. I'm fine apart from the floods that have washed the car away, but don't worry". Argh!
DY - Please, please, please can you get me a job at your place? I miss the sun. I just want to see daylight. For an hour. GET ME OUT OF HERE!! Yes, that would be nice... (shuffles off, muttering to self).
