Hello to all, and Peace.
I am scouring the web for information regarding how ITIL maps to HIPAA guidelines and vice-versa. I know that as far as SoX is concerned, there's a heavy Change Management component. But I've yet to find information that relates to HIPAA regulations. If you can point me somewhere that I can get at least a White Paper I'll be much grateful. Thanks!! _________________ audentes fortuna juvat

My organization is also under the HIPAA standards. The disciplines that best map to the HIPAA standards are probably Security and Application Development. Since HIPAA covers privacy, Security is a natural fit. When developing Apps, keep in mind how information is shared or reused. ITIL does not have a strong Data Management component, but Config, Change and Release might also be applicable here.
I have not any literature during my searches. It may be out there or it may be an area of great need.
Not sure my answer is what you are looking for...I gave it a shot anyway
