I have 7 years of experience in IT, 4 years in development and 3 years as support, currently I am support lead, I work in clients framework of ITIL, I understand ITIL I will be going for manager’s certification in ITIL in very near future. my question is how can I become ITSM consultant who implements ITIL I don’t want to start from scratch as I have rich exp in IT which is definitely help full is it possible that I get a job in good firm who implements ITIL in big organizations.
1) go it alone. Today you become a consultant. Though you will have to convince the clients that you find that you are at the levle that they expect and that you can demonstrate understanding of their requirements and the ability to deliver results.
2) Join a company that has a consultancy arm - though if you don't want to start from sctatch you need to convince them that you are at the level that they require in order to sell and deliver client needs
3) Does your current company need to or plan to undertake an ITSM poject which you can get involved with? _________________ Mark O'Loughlin
