Hello All,
I have done self preparation and read below books reasonably well

1. itSMF pocket guide for V3
2. ITIL v3 foundation exam guide by Stephen Bajada

Tooks few mock exams (1 in the Bajada's book and 20 Qs free exam from EXIN besides 1 more exam from a training institue's mock exam) and got thru pretty well. Scored 75% plus consistently!

Do you think, i am all set?

Any last minute recommendations...? I am planning to take up the exam this Saturday, 04-Apr-09

Cheers,
Sekhar

Look through the forum.

I think Liz Gallagher is the one who listed the materials to study

Thanks, John.

One quick question. Will there be any difference taking EXIN sponsored exam vs. taking ISEB sponsored exam?

ISEB is a UK centric org - British Computer Society
EXIN is a Dutch centric org

Both are valid

Look through the forum for tips/ tricks

EXIN is Dutch in origin but is non-UK centric.

I gather you are trying to find out about ITIL, courses, certification, etc

I gather you got to this site via a google or yahoo search

ITIL covers 5 books which can be bought anywhere.

ITIL is not a standard but Best practice guidelines on how to have IT operations and other aspects of IT work well. This include Service management.

ITIL certification cost money and it is worth the money and time to get the official certification and guide books.

There are NO Free official documentation. ITIL Books, courses etc are copyrighted as well as the Intellectual Property of the various training companies that provide the course work and exams.

The foundation course can be done - self study, online or class room. Each has its benefits and drawbacks.

The exam costs 100 or so (depends on each country). ITIL Certification is global. If you have passed foundation in India, then you have passed ITIL foundation

Please use the internet and find out where there are training centres in your own country.

Check with the itsmf association in your country

www dot itsmf dot org has links to various countries

If you go to wiki pedia and search on ITIL you will find links to the official site about ITIL and the certfication path

Please take the time to do so

Occasionally you will find the books (some or all) on the on line auction sites. I know a few people who have found these but I have not been lucky as yet probably due to lack of trying
